It is a new month and time for the next Sampler Series at the
Attic Window Quilt Shop. I don’t know why I always wait until the last minute to do these. Maybe it is because my piecing skills aren’t that great. At any rate, I did get busy yesterday afternoon and made the above blocks so I'll have them to show on Saturday when the first monthly meeting takes place. Each participant gets a kit with the fabrics and directions for three blocks. I think my blocks turned out okay. Like my mother always said, “Who will notice on a galloping horse?” Of course she usually said this about something I was wearing, maybe it had a spot or a tear or some imperfection. A small part of me always wondered if she was referring to me as a horse. Today, I think I understand what she meant. Though, this quilt will not be on a moving object, it will be seen by non quilters (mostly) and I don’t think they notice things like we do. Do you?
