SAMPLER SHOW N TELL AT ATTIC WINDOW QUILT SHOP

The New Sampler Series held its first of the month class on Saturday at the Attic Window Quilt Shop and there was lots of show N tell. Of course, I had to take pictures.  Above, Pauline W. shows us her latest finish.  I forgot to ask, but it looks like she might have used the Lil Twister tool on this quilt.
I had to show you this close up of all the bling on the tree.  Someone asked Pauline what she would do about that bling when she washed the quilt.  She told us that everything was attached via tie tack, therefore, it could be easily removed.  What a clever idea!  And what a beautiful quilt!

Julie showed us this cute bag that she made from and Edyta Sitar pattern that she saw in American Patchwork and Quilting 2011 Magazine.  I’m sorry this picture is so blurry (I swear I was not drinking), but there looks like there is a tuck and little bow in the front.
Julie also made this darling quilt.  She said it was not a kit and that she gathered all the various blue fabrics to make this beautiful quilt.  The deeper blue fabrics really adds and gives it depth.
Cathy M. shows us the table runner she made from the pattern that the Attic Window Quilt Shop gave away during the Heart of Winter Bus Tour.  Cathy also had a table topper to show us, but the picture was so blurry even I couldn’t make it out.  I swear there is something wrong with my camera!
I did get a good picture of this lovely quilt that Cathy made.  She said she calls this her winter quilt.  I'm sorry but I forgot to ask the pattern name.
Isn’t this doll a sweetie?  Yvonne is making it.  She is taking Julie’s Doll Making Class.  I am amazed at the stunning work Julie’s students do.  Look for Julie's upcoming classes on the calendar on the sidebar or in the new Newsletter which will be out soon.
Above, Yvonne placed a felt hat on her doll.  She said she still has work to do on this felt hat, like add a bow and some flowers.  She also showed us a stand that she made to place the doll on and said she might place her under a bell glass.  She thinks that will keep it safe until her granddaughter turns fifty.  LOL
Barb said she made this for a new baby who will be here soon.  I love those blocks with the little animals.  I have a thing for kid fabrics!

Tomorrow I’ll show you the Sampler Block for this month.
