Modern Monday Quilt Along

This is my block for the Modern Monday Quilt Along.  It is Block 28 - Modernistic Pansy.  What can I say?  I love it!  I do have a little difficulty following directions.  It could be that my computer is upstairs, my sewing room downstairs.   Not sure what gets into me, but for some unknown reason I seem to be in denial and think I don’t need to print out this pattern.  I’ll remember everything, and I hurry down to my sewing room to start the block.  Of course there are a few distractions:  a phone call, I have to run through the channels on TV to make sure I don’t miss anything, or I need a cookie upstairs in the kitchen.  Anyway, after the first of the four sections is completed, I realize something is incorrect.  I hurry back upstairs, check the pattern, see that I have cut it wrong, and have to add some more of the light grey fabric and re-cut the block.  Then things start to come together.  It still doesn’t look like Jennifer’s block, but I think it will do.  Now go over and see what Lynn has to show you this week, then check out Jennifer’s blog to see the pattern for this week.
