MOTHER GOOSE, A SALE, AND OTHER INFO

What did you do this weekend?  Saturday I stopped in at the Attic Window Quilt Shop to look at some fabric (of course) and take some pictures, and I ran into Virginia.  She is having some health challenges right now, but looks great and is still able to get into the shop.  She was looking for backing for the above quilt.  Virginia said that recently she was going through her cedar chest and ran across this old Mother Goose flimsy that she had made years ago.  She’d forgotten all about it and decided that now is the time for completion.

This is a picture of the entire quilt.  If you click on the picture, you will get a close up.  Virginia said that a quilting friend saw this Mother Goose pattern years ago in the newspaper and brought it to her. Isn’t it darling?  Virginia purchased a blue and white small check for the backing, which will be a perfect finish for this lovely quilt.

The second annual Spring Cleaning SALE at the Attic Window Quilt Shop will be this coming weekend, Friday & Saturday, April 1 & 2.  You won’t want to miss it.  Chris always has the best sales.

Don't forget about upcoming classes this week.  Monday's Skipping Stones class looks interesting.  This is a quick quilt and is a fresh take on an old design.  You have two choices of fabric amounts.  This quilt is suitable for bright, bold fabrics or soft fabrics.  Call the shop for further details and to register.
Knotty Girls meets Wednesday.  Don’t forget to bring your projects for Show-N-Tell.  I hope to get lots of pictures to share with our readers.

I added a new BOM to the sidebar.  Fiona of Designs by Fee has a nice Flower BOM.  You can find it on her sidebar.

Fairy  Face Designs is a new blog for me.  I love this tutorial for a picture Box Quilt.
Stay Positive!
